Flytime Fest 2025 lit up Lagos as one of the biggest highlights of the city’s Detty December calendar, with Davido, Asake and Olamide headlining the landmark 21st anniversary of the iconic music festival.
Organised by Flytime Promotions, the five-day event held from December 21 to 25 at the Eko Convention Centre drew massive crowds, blending Afrobeats, culture and global pop influences in a series of high-energy performances.
Attendance on peak nights climbed to nearly 20,000 fans, with several shows selling out well ahead of time, including Asake’s Christmas Eve concert.
The festival opened on December 21 with Rhythm Unplugged, co-headlined by Rema and British rapper Central Cee.
The night featured an eclectic mix of acts, including Odumodublvck, Shallipopi, BNXN, Moliy, Smada and Zerry DL, setting an energetic tone that fused Afrobeats, hip-hop and international sounds.
On December 22, Flavour took centre stage, delivering a culturally rich headline performance rooted in highlife and Eastern Nigerian rhythms. His set celebrated African heritage while reaffirming the genre’s global appeal.

The momentum continued on December 23 with Olamide, whose headline show leaned heavily on nostalgia.
Performing fan favourites such as Konkobility alongside newer material, the YBNL boss drew thunderous sing-alongs, underlining his longevity and influence in Afrobeats.
Christmas Eve belonged to Asake, who thrilled a sold-out crowd with an explosive set featuring MMS, Dupe, Worldwide, Joha and previews from his forthcoming album M$NEY.
The show was marked by striking visuals, confetti-filled moments and surprise guest appearances from Olamide and Zlatan.
One of the night’s most talked-about moments came when fuji legend King Saheed Osupa joined Asake on stage, prompting the singer to prostrate in respect, a gesture that resonated widely across social media.
The concert marked Asake’s first major Lagos headline show in two years.
The festival reached its grand finale on Christmas Day with Davido closing the event in style.
The Afrobeats superstar delivered a hit-packed set featuring classics such as Over Dem, 10 Kilo and Nakupenda, backed by heavy crowd interaction and celebratory visuals.
Guests, including Naeto C, Zlatan and TxC joined him on stage, while emerging act SOLITARY opened the night. A touching moment unfolded when Shoday presented Davido with flowers during his performance of Nakupenda.
